DODS is part of the News Media Help Desk, a joint initiative from the Local Media Consortium (LMC) and the Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI), launched with support from a $2.5 million Knight Foundation grant. By leveraging each organization’s strengths, LMC’s expertise in digital business and RJI’s content creation and curation skills, this partnership equips news organizations with the tools necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing digital environment. LMC launched DODS in 2022 thanks to an initial investment from Google News Initiative.
