The Local Media Consortium's (LMC) scholarship program is now open for applications for 2023. In our continuing effort to support local news and quality journalism, the Local Media Consortium is awarding up to five scholarships to assist incoming or current college students who are pursuing a major in journalism, media, or related fields at a four-year college or university.
Award If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award. Up to five awards will be granted. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first.
Eligibility
Applicants to the LMC Scholarship Program must:
Be a high school senior or graduate or a current college undergraduate
Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
Be pursuing a degree in Journalism, Media, or related field.
Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
